Multiple Myeloma Gets $4.1 Million

The Globe and Mail had lots of interesting articles today, but one really caught my eye. Toronto's Princess Margaret Hospital just got $4.1 Million to finance a chair in Multiple Myeloma research, thanks to David and Molly Bloom. That's amazing, especially for a rare disease that not maybe people have heard of. It happens to have no cure (just rapidly changing medications to battle it) and it happens to be what my mom has. So in case David and Molly Bloom every Google themselves (of course they do) and find my blog (okay, less likely) - THANKS!

Click here to read the article.

If you happen to have available power and want to help, please click here. (Of course, in this instance, when I say power, I mean money, more specifically). If you don't have that sort of power/money, maybe you* could help by giving blood? Multiple Myeloma patients rely heavily on donated blood and blood products during treatment. If you are willing, click here for more information.

*if I were reading this, I would want to know if I do these things, vs. just posting online to suggest it might be sweet if others do it. The answers are yes (I do give money to cancer research) and no (I'm blacklisted from donating blood).
