Next Up in the Short Program, Bozo and Pennywise

Watching the Olympics is always great. I find myself caring about sports that I couldn't care less about, until the next Olympics. Then, I'm a TV spectator/expert judge - for example, "Oh, not a good jump. His arm position is all off. He'll barely made the K Point".

Last night, after the really fun stuff to watch (Oh yeah Alexandre Bilodeau), figure skating was on. Not my favorite, but hey, it was better than not watching Olympics. And I saw....figure skating clowns. It's something I would expect to see at a crappy ultimate tournament, not the Olympics. Check out the picture here (the second photo is best).

If you can't find it, click here. This is an old picture, but same snazzy uniforms.

Clowns. How do you take that seriously? I would have respected them if their uniform included giant fake clown shoes over there skates. No giant clown shoes? No respect.

ps. I know, figure skating is really hard and those are elite athletes in their prime. Heck, they are in second place right now, they must be bloody good. But still. Clowns.
