You might enjoy reading if you like to read about life in Canada, sports, travel, brain issues, books, randomness or the environment. To make things interesting*, I had an aneurysm and intensive brain surgery at 32. If you can relate at all, or are curious about thoughts from a damaged brain, read on. *If that's not the reason, then I am still searching for it.

Riding is More Fun Outside
I took my bike of the trainer yesterday. I switched out the tire and I was off. Except that I very very very nearly bailed in the driveway. I tried to pull a lazy circle, looking down to check the air in my tires, clipped in, barely moving. I couldn't make the corner riding because of a curb, and my weight was shifted left over my bike. If you've ever ridden in clips, you may agree that I just created about the hardest situation I can think of to unclip. (Comment if you can think of a harder situation? Maybe this exact situation but with greater consequences? What the map would call 'exposure'?). Anyway, I didn't bail, and I was kind of proud of the track stand that resulted. I wasn't proud of awkwardly yanking my foot out of the clip at the last second and just getting my leg under me. Whoever said "it's just like riding a bike" was not riding with clipless pedals.
