You might enjoy reading if you like to read about life in Canada, sports, travel, brain issues, books, randomness or the environment. To make things interesting*, I had an aneurysm and intensive brain surgery at 32. If you can relate at all, or are curious about thoughts from a damaged brain, read on. *If that's not the reason, then I am still searching for it.

Western Skies
I recently rediscovered a Blue Rodeo song called Western Skies. It's on the album Lost Together, which I've listened to a lot, but mostly back in the day. Back in the day - high school. It's a decent song, but it was never one of my favorites. It's got a bit of country flavour to it. My favorite Blue Rodeo songs that have some country are really country - unapologeticlly twangy, like Now and Forever off of Diamond Mine or I Could Never Be That Man off of Tremolo. I digress. The reason Western Skies drew my attention are the lyrics. It's about missing places like Lake Louise and the Bow River while waiting for the TTC. (I'm pretty sure I didn't know what the TTC was in grade 10.) How fitting.
