Very Casual Near Disasters

I had several today. The first what my ex-work would have called a Near Miss. It involved holding my keys in my left hand, carrying a bike up stairs, and my left nostril. Use your imagination. The good news is I just managed to do no damage at all. Phew.

I ride seemed to go that way too. I was really feeling the road rage by the time I finished. I rode for two hours and I swear something happened about every 10 minutes. Part of it was my fault for sure. I would not recommend the route that I picked. I headed up somewhere a little west, just north of the 401 I wasn't all that far from where I went Monday, but somehow I managed to find a more industrial route. In case you drive a minivan, truck, box van etc. and your an asshole, I just wanted to mention that it's not actually cool to pass a cyclist going 80 km/hr (in a 50 zone) in the same lane as the cyclist. Okay, I'd be pretty surprised if I know anyone that does that. I also just had a little bad luck - stalled vehicles and lane closures and the like creating traffic and chaos.

I have good bikes news as well. I'm going to do a separate post about it.
