You might enjoy reading if you like to read about life in Canada, sports, travel, brain issues, books, randomness or the environment. To make things interesting*, I had an aneurysm and intensive brain surgery at 32. If you can relate at all, or are curious about thoughts from a damaged brain, read on. *If that's not the reason, then I am still searching for it.

Ketchup
I have been a little slammed of late, as I'm sure is pretty obvious with my lack of blogging.
Canadian Nats in Sherbrooke was fun. Lotus Whut? came third, after having our asses handed to us by Montreal in the semi. We played Quebec City in the 3/4 game. I had a bit of a less-than-stellar weekend personally. Results (for Lotus Whut?) are here.
The week of Nats, I had the final for my course. Did I tell you I was taking a course? I meant to blog about it, but I'm not sure I ever got around to it. I took Environmental Politics and Governance, which is actually a PoliSci course, via distance education from the University of Guelph. It was a really interesting course and I felt that I got a lot out of it. I had one week to right the final, which ended up being very little in terms of functional time. The week of the exam was available from the beginning of the semester. Then, at the last minute, the prof. decided to casually move it up a week. The exam was given out on the Monday and due a week later at midnight. Well, Monday I had a long field day out of town. Tuesday night I had practice. Wednesday I felt like shit. Thursday was practice again, and Friday I left immediately after work for Nationals. I worked on it whenever I had a free minute, and then finished it off Monday night. The exam was an essay, but thankfully the length requirement was not so bad.
On the Thursday (this past Thursday), my sister and nephew got here for a week long visit. We had a lot of fun. It was really great to finally meet my nephew. Unfortunately I was also doing field work all of this week, but thankfully a site in town. Still, I had to leave my sis completely on her own Tuesday. I left at 7:30 and got back at 10:30 pm. Not ideal. None the less, a great visit.
Here is a pick of my nephew, fast asleep in my apartment.
