I help off blogging for the last few days, since I'm pissed off at my doctor. I admit, that is a very silly reason. After waiting weeks, I finally had my appointment to go over my MRI results. I know nothing further. My doctor thought I was there for something else entirely. I had to do another* 'refuse to leave' to get him to address it at all. It went something like this:
Me: "My family doctor gave me my MRI results, mentioned 'some brain damage', and said that I should come see you about it."
Him: "Oh? Nothing new."
Me: "So... the brain damage?"
Him: "Are you saying you didn't know you had brain damage?"
It was so frustrating. I'm going to take it optimistically, which is to say that the MRI can't have said anything important if he didn't consider it worth mentioning. Right? He did confirm that the results do not change anything regarding what I am to do going forward. (That said, he didn't even ask about what my surgeon said about my return to work). No matter what the results said, the collective method to give them to me by doctors gets a big F.
*My first was in Ottawa at a follow up appointment.
