I have found some weird and random stuff that I didn't know I owned, in my packing. Here are a few of those things.
Firstly, an autographed poster of Goren Kropp, the semi-famous, crazy Swiss adventurer. The dude rode his bicycle from Sweden to Everest, summited without Oxygen, and then logically, rode home again. I saw him speak at UofC. He was quite the character, and kept saying funny phrases, like "Kropp on top!". Sadly, only about a year after seeing him speak, I read in Outside magazine that Kropp died climbing in Washington. It was strange to read in a magazine that someone I had met had died.
Switching gears, I also found a dime from 1942, and a quarter from 1937. I'm pretty sure my Grandparent's on Dad's side gave them too me. They smooth and flat and really friggin' old. I like it. ps. this is as close as I will ever come to 'old money'. Born with a silver spoon in my mouth or WHAT. ;)
Finally, I think the Lion King poster was a precursor to my Christmas cards. I'm pretty sure I got the poster as a gift, and turned it into a Christmas project. I think I might have been in high school, or maybe early University. If you just said "huge dork" out loud, I'm not surprised.
