Blue, Red, Green, None and a Case for Life in the Maritimes

About are a few more pictures from my trip.  Blue in a house in Charolottetown.  Red is the covered bridge at Wolfe Point, just outside my campground in Fundy.  Green was on the outside of the washroom in the same campground.  I hustled back to my camp for my camera with dorkish zeal.  The black and white is from my ride (on a big old cruiser rental bike) in Fredericton.  Perhaps I should keep my self shots to this sort of thing.  I seem to do better when I don't point it at my face.

I think I would enjoy living in the Maritimes, especially right now.   There are obvious hang-ups: Jo would kill me, neither of us have jobs there, I don't know anyone*, and it would be quite the adjustment to live somewhere small after living in a cities my whole life.  Yet there are obvious perks.  All three maritime provinces I have visited are beautiful.  The people are friendly.  For the price of my condo in Calgary, I would buy a three bedroom house**.  It was quiet.  Quiet.  At the moment, that has appeal for me like it never has before.  I think the maritimes would be a good place to heal a brain.

*I do have one friend in St. Andrews.

**In Fredericton, I saw a four bedroom house listed for $133.  It did not look like it should condemed, which is what I would expect for a place that cheap.  There were "inner city" character houses for more, but still realitively very inexpenive.

Wait.a.minute. Everyone knows I'm a lover, not a fighter!!!!

However, you're going to have to

1. break it to Taz and Syl.......those bitches are cray yo!!!
2. Break it Mama Elias and friends that you're taking her grandson/everyone's fave dog away to the coast.

Good luck.
