Humber Kayaking and the Long Weekend

It was beautiful this weekend in Toronto, and we were out enjoying it as much as possible.  This was only limited by my nasty headaches this weekend.  It was a rough one.

One highlight was getting out on the Humber River in kayaks, a birthday present from Jo.  (Thank you!  So fun.).  I love being out on the water.  It feels like escaping the city, yet we launched from right by Old Mill Station (aka about 10 minutes west of here).  We say lots of wildlife, including turtles and kingfishers.

We also went to the Blue Jays game with Jo's mom.  It was a lot of fun, and the Jays won.  I managed to mitigate my bad brain by wearing earplugs the whole time.  I even wore them on the subway ride to Scarborough.  It kept my head okay, and also got me a seat to myself.  ;)

The other weekend highlight deserves a post in itself.  Here are some pictures.
