You might enjoy reading if you like to read about life in Canada, sports, travel, brain issues, books, randomness or the environment. To make things interesting*, I had an aneurysm and intensive brain surgery at 32. If you can relate at all, or are curious about thoughts from a damaged brain, read on. *If that's not the reason, then I am still searching for it.

Not BP Today
Today I explained what I do for a living to a stranger. The context isn't important. What I find myself reflecting on tonight was how nice is was to lie. Maybe lie is the wrong word. I just left out a pretty significant truth, which is that right now, I'm just a brain patient, not an environmental consultant. Certainly anything else would have been TMI. Still, it was nice to remember for a minute, what it was like to be a contributing adult with a day job. I miss that.

1Alas...for now you are a kept woman!
You'll be back to saving the environment soon enough babe.
I feel the same way saying I'm a "stay at home mom". I just say that I "work at the library" - yah, twice a month! Anyway, you're not lying. That is still your profession, right?
