I'm not a fan of paying to pee. I haven't had to do it much, considering how common that is in Europe. Paying. Peeing common everywhere. If I do have to pay, my small rebellion is to try and 'get my moneys worth' whether I really have to or not. Too much information? I'm only kidding.* On another note, I was wondering if lack of public WC's/not having to pay contribute to the nasty urine smell that comes from people pissing everywhere.
written now: Austria supports this hypothesis. Bathrooms are ubiquitous and free and it smells WAY better here.
*so not kidding.
