I packed very light for this trip. Since I was flying to the States, a single checked bag would have cost me $50, so clearly the thing to do was go carry-on only. Also, I knew that there would be a few afternoons were I would have to lug all of my stuff around. Luggage lockers seem to be a thing of the past.
I was very happy that I packed light when I found myself riding my bike down a big hill in Portland, carrying all my stuff. I'd just left my HomeAway rental and was picking up my car downtown, to head to the coast. It was little enough stuff that I could ride with it easily (especially with the help of gravity - I was downhill), but enough stuff that people were looking and giggling.
If it's looks like I am wearing the same sweater in all of my pictures, it's because I am.
The only item I wished I had thought to pack was my aux cable. I was fine with radio tunes on my drive to Whistler (especially because my driving distances are so very limited right now). On the way to the Oregon Coast, through the hills near Tillamook, radio stations because radio station. My only option was All Jesus All the Time radio (or something similar). Yikes.
