After months of success with stealth organics, we had a major fail yesterday.
I was really happy to have our regular Monday night organics night back. We had a tough time over the holidays with the irregular service. Christmas and New Year's Day both fell on our garbage day, and nobody put out green bin on the replacement days. This wasn't the real problem: the fail would have happened even if we had proper service.
Back to last night: when we pulled up this week's organics from under the sink, we pulled up a bag of disgusting slop. I don't know how we didn't spell it. We'd added to it off and on all day (and all week) - it seemed fine/normal. I don't know what the heck was in there. By my memory, it was the usual tea bags and banana peels. It can't have been more than 6 days old (we put a second bag in the freezer). It smelled as if someone added a dead rat and two cups of orange juice and they cranked the heat to 35 C. Just vile.
We triple bagged it and chucked it out. Fail.
